After breakfast, you'll be driven to the airport, from where you depart around 10.30 am towards Almeria. From there you'll fly via Valencia and Tangiers (Africa) to Gibraltar. The acting minister of tourism, Mr. J.J. Holiday will personally greet you there around 6.00 pm. You'll then be driven to the beautiful Calenta Hotel, which was build into a cliff at the idyllic Catalan Bay.
The arrival of the DC-3, which used to be in the service of the Royal Air Force, is an important event for the people of Gibraltar.
Around 9.00 pm, we invite you to dinner at Nuno's Restaurant at the Calenta Hotel, where you'll be served delicious Italian specialties and can enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea.

Saturday, September 10, 2005
Today is a day of celebration in Gibraltar. Thousands of people fill the streets and Casemates Square, waving the British flag and pledging the allegiance of their small state to the Royal British Crown. You won't find a trace of the originally British idea of shared sovereignty with Spain.
The morning is at your free disposal; in the afternoon there is a trip to Puerto Banus, a swank luxury-port with a long row of shops, around 40 minutes from Gibraltar. Your return-trip to Gibraltar starts at 7.30 pm.
Around 9.00 pm you'll be driven to the Queensway Quay, where you'll enjoy fantastic Mediterranean cuisine at "Claus on the Rock". Claus, who was born in Cologne, is said to run the best restaurant on "the Rock".
At 11.00 pm you can experience the official National Day fireworks up close.

Sunday, September 11, 2005
At 10.00 am we'll start on a two-hour tour of the old World War II caves. Warm clothes and sturdy shoes are recommended. Led by experts, you'll explore the interior of "the Rock" and learn a lot about the history and relevance of Gibraltar as a military staging post.
Around 3.00 pm we'll take you on a trip around "the Rock" and later again back "underground" into the fascinating stalactite grotto St. Michael's Cave. In the Great Siege Tunnels you'll see how "the Rock" was defended in the 17th century. At the Moorish Castle you'll meet Barbary Macaques, who tend to mock the tourists or - if you're not careful - steal your wallet, bag or camera.
Afterwards, you can visit the Gibraltar Glass Company at Casemates Square, roam the elegant Queensway Quay with its luxury apartments and fantastic restaurants, get a tan at Catalan Bay or relax at the hotel's swimming pool. At 18.00 you'll board the "Dolphin World", which will take you along Gibraltar's coast, where you can watch dolphins and sea turtles.
The evening is at your disposal. We recommend a visit to a typically British restaurant like Lord Nelsons or the Angry Friar, the oldest pub on "the Rock". Those who dare can also try their luck at Gibraltar's casino!

Monday, September 12, 2005
The morning is at your disposal. We recommend you use the opportunity for some final duty-free shopping.
At 12.00 pm the DC-3 takes off via Tangiers and Almeria to Palma, where you'll land around 6.00 pm. You'll stay at the Art-Deco Hotel Palau Sa Font, a former bishop's palace, located directly in Palma's Old Town.
The evening is at your disposal.

Tuesday, September 13, 2005
At 11.00 am we fly from Palma to Marseille and on to Zurich, your last intermediate stop. You'll stay at the four-star Hyatt Hotel.
Since this is the last evening for all participants, we have a planned a surprise for you during a get-together on our last night in Zurich.

Wednesday, September 14, 2005
You'll leave Zurich around 11.00 am and will land in Augsburg at around 1.00 pm. Half an hour later we continue to Berlin, where you'll land at Tempelhof around 4.30 pm.
